As the stock market swings between optimism and caution, investors searching for opportunities may find a good starting point in some of the picks held by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A, BRK.B).
Although the firm is best known for its individual stock holdings, Berkshire also maintains positions in select exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
With this in mind, Finbold has highlighted two Buffett ETFs worth considering as the second half of 2025 unfolds.
Vanguard S&P 500 Value ETF (VOOV)
The Vanguard S&P 500 Value ETF (VOOV) closely reflects Buffett’s investment philosophy. It targets the value segment of the S&P 500, focusing on companies with low price-to-book and price-to-earnings ratios, along with strong dividend yields.
At a time when the broader market trades at elevated valuations, VOOV provides access to more reasonably priced firms that typically generate steady cash flows and possess durable competitive advantages.
This exposure to traditional value stocks mirrors Berkshire’s long-standing preference for fundamentally strong businesses and may offer downside protection if market volatility returns in the second half of 2025.
By press time, VOOV was trading at $189.39 up over 3% year to date.

iShares U.S. Financial Services ETF (IYG)
Berkshire’s holding in the iShares U.S. Financial Services ETF (IYG) signals its confidence in the financial sector, a space Buffett has maintained positions for decades.
The ETF holds a blend of leading American banks, asset managers, insurers, and credit card companies, with several overlapping Berkshire holdings such as American Express and Bank of America.
While the sector faces headwinds from a tightening credit environment and potential shifts in interest rates, Berkshire’s stake suggests it expects top-tier financial institutions to remain resilient and emerge even stronger.
Currently, the ETF is trading at $85.67 having rallied over 10% year-to-date.

In summary, both ETFs serve strategic purposes within Berkshire’s broader portfolio. For retail investors, these products offer an insight into how they can jump onto passive income vehicle by copying some of the most successful investors.
