OpenAI’s ChatGPT predicts that XRP could reach a $500 billion market capitalization between 2029 and 2032, with 2030 as a speculative midpoint.
The milestone would require the cryptocurrency to rise nearly 470% from its press-time price of $1.39.
Based on a circulating supply of approximately 63.1 billion XRP, the token would need to reach roughly $7.92 to achieve the target, up from its current market capitalization of $87.89 billion.
According to ChatGPT, an aggressive bull-market scenario could see XRP reach the milestone as early as 2027 or 2028. However, this would require substantially stronger institutional demand, wider adoption, and favorable conditions across the cryptocurrency market.
Under a slower-growth scenario, the target could remain out of reach beyond 2032. XRP could also fail to achieve it if demand weakens or competing blockchain networks attract more users and investment.

These timelines are speculative scenarios rather than predictions based on a validated forecasting model.
At a $500 billion valuation, XRP would rank second among cryptocurrencies if the market-cap structure remained similar to current levels.
Notably, Bitcoin’s (BTC) market capitalization stands at $1.64 trillion, while Ethereum’s (ETH) is at around $302 billion. XRP would therefore overtake Ethereum but remain behind Bitcoin, assuming both assets retained those valuations.
ETF demand and adoption could support XRP
ChatGPT highlighted several catalysts that could help XRP reach such a valuation. U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded approximately $8 million in net inflows on October 8. However, XRP remained down over the week, indicating that institutional buying had not yet reversed its broader decline.
Wider use of the XRP Ledger for payments, liquidity, and tokenized assets could provide another source of demand.
Ripple’s expansion into institutional finance, including swap financing for leveraged ETFs through Ripple Prime, may strengthen its business, although this does not automatically increase demand for XRP.
XRP price analysis
XRP faces resistance at $1.48, followed by $1.70. A sustained break above these levels could strengthen the recovery outlook. Conversely, losing support around $1.30 could expose XRP to further declines.

XRP is trading below its 50-day simple moving average (SMA) of $1.43 but above its 200-day SMA of $1.28.
This suggests short-term bearish pressure, although the token remains above its longer-term trend indicator.
A recovery above the 50-day SMA could improve the outlook, while a drop below the 200-day average would signal further weakness.
Meanwhile, XRP’s 14-day relative strength index (RSI) stood at 44.28, below the neutral 50 mark but above the oversold threshold of 30.
This indicates that bearish momentum has the upper hand, although selling pressure has not yet pushed the token into oversold territory.
