Anchorage Digital adds support for XION’s native token

XION (XION), a blockchain focused on bridging Web2 and Web3, has announced that Anchorage Digital, the first and only federally chartered crypto bank, now supports its native token, as per the reports shared with Finbold on Thursday, March 20.

Anchorage’s decision follows XION’s milestone of becoming the first Title II-compliant Layer-1 (L1) blockchain and offers institutional asset holders a safe and regulated way to hold, stake, and trade XION.

Institutional XION trading

With XION integrated into Anchorage Digital, institutional investors can now seamlessly acquire, hold, and manage their assets without relying on traditional exchanges

The partnership thus simplifies institutional onboarding and ensures compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks, which helps promote blockchain technology as a legitimate tool in mainstream finance.

Burnt Banksy, Founder of XION, discussed the potential of XION in institutional trading, stating:

“Providing secure access to XION from a qualified custodian opens doors for asset managers, venture capital firms, and other institutional participants to engage with the ecosystem. With trusted platforms like Anchorage Digital, the gap between the legacy web and the next generation of blockchain applications is being narrowed.”

XION’s blockchain infrastructure has already been adopted by a number of brands and projects, including Uber, Amazon Prime, BMW, Marvel Rivals, Lacoste, and The North Face.

With its institutional-grade custody solutions, Anchorage Digital is therefore helping regulated, traditional financial (TradFi) entities to make initial moves in the Web3 space while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Staking XION

Institutional investors can also stake XION through Anchorage Digital, contributing to network security and earning rewards within a compliant framework.

Asset managers and venture firms seeking exposure to XION will likewise benefit from Anchorage Digital’s treasury management, staking, and liquidity solutions.

By adopting XION and expanding its reach in a diverse range of industries, Anchorage Digital ensures it remains one of the key links between traditional and decentralized finance (DeFi).
