BlackRock buys over $800 million of these two cryptocurrencies

BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK) has bought cryptocurrency – via its spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs): iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), and iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) – valued at $843.78 million over the past 20 days.

BlackRock’s IBIT has net-purchased Bitcoin (BTC) worth $434.11 million between August 20, 2026, and September 16, according to data from SoSoValue, which Finbold analyzed on September 17. During this period, IBIT saw five days of cash inflows and eight days of outflows.

Over the past three weeks, BlackRock’s ETHA net-loaded Ethereum (ETH) has been valued at $222.92 million. As a result, ETHA has 3,527,868.675 ETH, roughly $8.46 billion at the time of reporting, as per the latest post.

Cumulatively, BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF holds 3,864,677.825 ETH.

Bitcoin and Ethereum price performance amid BlackRock’s purchases

Both Bitcoin and Ethereum prices have been trapped in a choppy consolidation over the past 20 days, despite BlackRock’s shopping spree. Nonetheless, Bitcoin price has risen 18.89% during the last 30 days, trading at $76,260 at press time.

Meanwhile, Ethereum price has gained 28.20% during this period, trading at $2,430 on Thursday.

If BlackRock continues to net purchase, the recently established uptrend could gain momentum.
