Cronos Labs, the Cronos Network blockchain accelerator, has strengthened its alliance with Google, establishing Google Cloud as the primary cloud provider for Cronos and related projects, as reported to Finbold on Thursday, November 7.
The renewed partnership further illustrates Google Cloud’s role in supporting Cronos as a validator, as it drives technical innovation, boosts developer adoption in artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain, and enriches startup support through the Cronos Accelerator program.
Developing advanced dApps with Google Cloud’s AI
Ken Timsit, Managing Director at Cronos Labs, highlighted the partnership’s impact on Cronos’ security and reliability, especially its potential to attract more startups to the Cronos Accelerator.

The key to engagement, Timsit said, are the provision of resources for building cutting-edge decentralized applications (dApps) with Google Cloud’s AI, data processing, and computing power.
In a parallel announcement, Rishi Ramchandani, Head of Web3 APAC at Google Cloud, confirmed Google Cloud’s expanded commitment to Web3:
“Google Cloud is strengthening its commitment to Web3 by joining the Cronos ecosystem as a validator node operator. Google Cloud will also collaborate with Cronos to provide developers with the resources they need to build the next generation of decentralized applications, leveraging Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure, advanced AI capabilities, and powerful data analytics tools.”
Cronos’ growing presence on Ethereum
Cronos Labs has integrated Google Cloud into the infrastructure behind Cronos zero-knowledge Ethereum (ETH) Virtual Machine (zkEVM), a Layer-2 (L2) blockchain network built on zero-knowledge (zk) technology.
Using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Autopilot, AlloyDB, and Google Compute Engine with NVIDIA L4 graphics processing units (GPUs), Cronos zkEVM enjoys increased performance and scalability.
Cronos recently launched its full blockchain datasets on Google Cloud, enabling easy access to the Cronos EVM and zkEVM chains, which can now be analyzed through Google’s Blockchain Analytics and BigQuery tools.
These resources help developers explore blockchain data through natural language queries, automated AI-driven transactions, or pattern detection for trading.
The partners also plan on co-hosting virtual hackathons, creating a forum for developers to engage with new technology and network with industry leaders.
Cronos Startups Cloud Program
In support of emerging startups, Cronos Labs will extend its collaboration with the Google for Startups Cloud Program to offer a value-driven package for projects in the Cronos Accelerator.
Startups will gain access to Google Cloud resources, training on AI application development, mentorship, and integration with Google’s Web3 ecosystem.
This effort aims to equip Web3 innovators with the tools and guidance to build groundbreaking AI-enabled applications on the Cronos platform.
