FinteqHub, a global payment orchestration platform, has announced the launch of AI Advisor, an artificial intelligence tool designed to optimize payment routing decisions, according to information shared with Finbold on September 25, 2026.
Beta testing with a subset of its client base showed the tool reduced blocked and declined payments by 23% compared with the same clients’ baseline in the previous quarter.
AI Advisor sits on top of FinteqHub’s existing smart routing infrastructure and analyzes data on payment provider performance, routes, and transaction results to generate recommendations for payment operations teams.
The system identifies which provider to prioritize for a specific transaction type, when to retry an unsuccessful payment, when to reroute it, and which risk rules may be blocking legitimate transactions.
The tool addresses a core challenge in payment infrastructure: connecting to multiple providers does not by itself guarantee a high acceptance rate. The outcome depends on how accurately an operator routes each transaction and how it responds after an initial rejection. Every legitimate payment declined due to ineffective routing or overly strict risk rules represents potential lost revenue.
“The next significant opportunity for growth in payment acceptance lies in the quality of decisions made between connected providers. The same transaction can be declined by one provider and successfully processed by another. The goal of AI is to quickly identify such patterns and provide the team with a concrete solution without turning the payment infrastructure into an opaque black box,” said Vadim Drozd, CEO of FinteqHub.
AI Advisor acts as a co-pilot rather than a fully autonomous system
Rather than operating autonomously, AI Advisor functions as a co-pilot for payments teams, displaying the reasoning behind each recommendation alongside the recommendation itself. The specialist retains the final decision, with the option to accept, reject, or adjust the suggested action based on additional business context.
FinteqHub plans to complete the full rollout of AI Advisor to its client base by October 1, 2026, with plans to expand the number of analyzed scenarios and use accumulated data to improve recommendation accuracy over time.
