On the other hand, the WalletKit tool is tailored for wallet developers, offering features like one-click authentication, secure transaction signing, batch approvals, and true multi-chain compatibility.

The rebrand from WalletConnect to Reown has thus marked a shift from a mere connection protocol to a full-stack Web3 layer built on three main foundations:

  • A decentralized network of nodes that relay messages between apps and wallets;
  • Developer-friendly source development kits (SDKs) that simplify integration;
  • And standardized messaging formats that ensure smooth interoperability.

What’s more, Reown’s is chain-agnostic and supports a growing list of networks, including Ethereum, Solana (SOL), Polkadot (DOT), and Bitcoin (BTC), making it a versatile tool with a variety of use cases in the expanding multi-chain Web3 environment.

3. Mind Network
