HERE Wallet and HAPI announce HOT Lab, a new joint blockchain project
Marko Marjanovic

HERE Wallet and HAPI, two blockchain platforms, have announced the launch of HOT Labs, a new joint platform that promises innovation in crypto wallets and blockchain infrastructure, as reported to Finbold on Tuesday, November 12.

This collaboration continues where the previous partnership left, after the creation of HOT Wallet within Telegram (TON) and a more robust crypto ecosystem.

Over the past 12 months, HERE Wallet has been working on developing the wallet itself.

On the other hand, HAPI has dedicated its resources to enhancing internal services and expanding the broader ecosystem.

As of November 2924, the HOT Wallet boasts over 30 million users.

The HOT Labs project

HOT Labs promises to change user experience in blockchain from the ground up by making crypto more accessible to the average user.

With HERE’s expertise in designing user-friendly wallets and HAPI’s secure, decentralized services, HOT Labs already has a solid foundation for future ventures.

In addition, the project has gained significant support from some key figures in the industry, including Petr Volnov and Yuriy Olentyr.

Volnov, the founder of HERE Wallet, is known for his role in helping the NEAR blockchain ecosystem.

With a background in computer science and business, Volnov gained prominence in the market with FORA Vision, an artificial intelligence(AI) coaching company.

After creating a non-custodial wallet for NEAR Protocol in 2022, Volnov’s HERE Wallet quickly grew to over 600,000 active users, further solidifying his reputation.

Commenting on the future of HOT Labs, Volnov stated:

“We are now ready to unite our teams into a single structure, HOT Labs, which will take over the entire group of products related to HOT Wallet. This long-awaited decision will allow us to work even more closely together and move forward towards new achievements and greater goals.”

Toward a new standard for blockchain wallets

In early 2024, HERE Wallet and HAPI introduced HOT, an experimental non-custodial wallet on Telegram powered by Chain Signature.

The wallet enables cross-chain swaps, link drops, and paves the way for a unified digital currency to simplify gas payments and transactions in the future.

Following the success of the wallet, HOT Labs is likewise expected to be of crucial importance for the broader ecosystem.
