Here’s how much an early 2025 investment in Robert Kiyosaki’s portfolio is worth today

Here’s how much an early 2025 investment in Robert Kiyosaki’s portfolio is worth today

Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the best-selling personal finance book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’, has built his investment philosophy around real assets, dismissing fiat currencies as ‘fake money’ while advocating for Bitcoin (BTC), Gold, and Silver as hedges against economic instability.

While Kiyosaki is known for his frequent predictions of financial collapse, his preferred investments have performed well in 2025, with Bitcoin, gold, and silver repeatedly hitting new all-time highs.

However, a recent sharp downturn in the cryptocurrency market, alongside mounting economic uncertainty, has cast doubt on the short-term sustainability of these assets.

With Bitcoin struggling to hold key levels while gold and silver continue to thrive, here’s how much an early 2025 investment in Kiyosaki’s portfolio would be worth today.

Kiyosaki’s top picks: Bitcoin, gold, and silver in 2025

Bitcoin, Kiyosaki’s preferred digital asset, has faced volatility in recent months, posting a 12% year-to-date (YTD) loss and trading at $83,550 at press time.

The downturn came as part of a broader crypto market correction, which coincided with President Trump’s new tariffs on Mexico and Canada, effective March 4.

The policy move unsettled investors, triggering $985 million in liquidations and wiping out earlier gains that had been driven by Trump’s proposal for a U.S. strategic crypto reserve.

In contrast, gold, often referred to by Kiyosaki as ‘God’s money’, has emerged as the strongest performer, surging 11.23% YTD. Gold remains one of the best-performing assets of the year, having hit multiple all-time highs in recent sessions, currently trading at $2,922.01.

Silver has also maintained a steady climb, trading at $31.89 at press time. While often overshadowed by gold, silver has mirrored its bullish momentum gaining 7.9% year-to-date.

A $1,000 investment in Robert Kiyosaki’s portfolio — Where does it stand now?

To put the portfolio’s performance into perspective, a hypothetical $1,000 investment evenly split across Bitcoin, gold, and silver at the start of 2025 would now be worth$1,025.40—a modest gain of 2.54%.

While Bitcoin’s volatility has led to short-term losses, gold and silver have delivered steady gains, strengthening the role of hard assets as a hedge against inflation and financial instability.

That being said, Bitcoin’s recovery will depend on regulatory developments and market sentiment, while precious metals continue to thrive amid inflation concerns.

For now, Kiyosaki’s bet on hard assets is holding firm, with gold and silver balancing out Bitcoin’s turbulence.
