Here’s Josh Kushner’s updated stock portfolio after Lakers takeover

Here’s Josh Kushner's updated stock portfolio after Lakers takeover

Joshua Kushner’s Thrive Capital has disclosed its latest public equity holdings, revealing a portfolio heavily concentrated in SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX).

The filing comes shortly after Kushner and former Disney CEO Bob Iger agreed to acquire the Los Angeles Lakers in a record $12.5 billion deal.

The second-quarter 2026 regulatory filing shows that SpaceX is now by far the largest position in Thrive Capital’s public portfolio. The firm held 18.91 million shares valued at approximately $3.23 billion as of June 30, representing about 84.8% of the disclosed portfolio.

At the same time, Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) emerged as a new position during the quarter. Thrive Capital reported owning 904,038 shares worth roughly $215.47 million, making it the portfolio’s second-largest holding.

Oscar Health (NYSE: OSCR) ranked third with 6.34 million shares valued at approximately $180.92 million. Shopify (NASDAQ: SHOP) followed with a stake worth about $102.28 million, while Figma (NYSE: FIG) rounded out the top five holdings with a position valued at roughly $79.54 million.

Thrive Capital’s exited positions

The filing also showed that both SpaceX and Amazon were newly reported positions during the quarter. At the same time, Thrive Capital fully exited its investments in Carvana and StubHub.

In this line, the firm previously held 226,761 Carvana shares valued at about $71.29 million and 68,745 StubHub shares worth approximately $429,000.

The dominant SpaceX allocation points to Kushner’s long-standing conviction in Elon Musk’s aerospace company. With nearly 85% of the disclosed portfolio tied to SpaceX, the filing highlights Thrive Capital’s preference for concentrated, high-conviction investments rather than broad diversification.

The portfolio update comes shortly after Kushner and Iger agreed to acquire the Los Angeles Lakers through Thrive Eternal, an investment vehicle focused on long-term ownership of sports and cultural assets. The transaction remains subject to NBA approval and due diligence.

Kushner is expected to serve as the controlling owner of the franchise, while Iger is set to play a key leadership role. The deal follows Kushner’s previous investments in NBA teams and marks a significant expansion of his presence in professional sports.

Taken together, the latest Josh Kushner stock portfolio filing and the Lakers takeover reflect a strategy centered on concentrated technology investments alongside ownership of iconic long-term assets.

While the filing provides a snapshot of Thrive Capital’s reportable public equity positions, it does not include the firm’s significantly larger private-market investments, which have been a key driver of its growth.
