Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) continues its blistering 2025 rally, pushing closer to a milestone that analysts now widely expect a $200 share price.

The stock closed at $173.66 on Monday and traded higher in pre‑market at $175.60 on Tuesday, extending gains of 11.11% over the past five days, 22.38% over the past month, and a remarkable 43.96% year‑to‑date.

This strength comes as BofA Securities raised its price target on AMD to $200 from $175, maintaining a Buy rating ahead of the company’s August 5 earnings report. The firm pointed to a potential resumption of China AI chip shipments in the second half of 2025, which could add $0.7–$1 billion to AMD’s 2025 AI GPU revenue and as much as $2 billion in 2026.

Analysts also highlighted stronger‑than‑expected pricing for AMD’s MI355X GPUs, now reportedly selling for over $20,000 versus consensus estimates of $17,000.

HSBC also upgraded AMD to a Buy rating with a $200 target, emphasizing its competitiveness in AI chips (MI350/MI355X), which rival Nvidia’s Blackwell GPUs. HSBC forecasts over $15 billion in AI GPU revenue by 2026.

UBS’s Timothy Arcuri raised his target even higher to $210, citing an expanding AI platform and high demand. He projects AMD could generate $10 billion in annualized data center GPU revenue within months.

ChatGPT‑4o predicts when AMD shares will hit $200

But how soon can AMD hit $200? According to ChatGPT‑4o, acting in the role of a market analyst:

“Based on AMD’s current momentum, analyst targets, and catalysts like China shipment resumption and strong AI GPU pricing, AMD could reach the $200 level by early Q4 2025 possibly sooner if its August earnings beat expectations and forward guidance confirms accelerating AI revenue growth.”

With earnings just days away, investors will be watching for commentary on China shipments, data‑center growth, and GPU pricing, all of which could set the tone for whether AMD can close the gap to the $200 mark sooner rather than later.
