Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) has triggered a technical signal that previously preceded a rally of more than 150% in just 25 trading days.
According to insights shared by TrendSpider in an X post on September 25, Intel’s CHATS indicator has flipped green on the daily timeframe.
The last time the signal appeared, INTC surged more than 150% over the following 25 trading sessions. The latest signal comes as the stock traded around $123 in the last session after breaking above a key resistance zone near $110.
The breakout follows a $10 million insider purchase by Intel’s CEO near the lows and has been accompanied by rising trading volume, strengthening the bullish technical setup.
The signal comes as Intel continues to benefit from strong artificial intelligence demand and improving operational performance, helping fuel one of the market’s strongest rallies in 2026.
Meanwhile, Intel’s technical momentum has also been supported by a sharp improvement in fundamentals.
For instance, in its second quarter of 2026, reported on July 23, Intel posted revenue of $16.1 billion, up 25.4% year-over-year and roughly $1.8 billion above prior guidance. The company also reported non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.42, more than double management’s earlier guidance of about $0.20.
Growth was driven largely by Intel’s Data Center and AI segment, where AI-related businesses expanded by more than 70% year-over-year and accounted for approximately 70% of total revenue.
Demand for AI infrastructure and AI PCs also strengthened, while management noted that customer demand continues to outpace supply.
Intel Q3 strong guidance
For the third quarter, the technology company guided for revenue between $15.8 billion and $16.8 billion, with non-GAAP earnings per share of about $0.38. The company also raised its 2026 capital expenditure outlook to more than $20 billion as it expands manufacturing capacity.
Meanwhile, Intel’s foundry business continues to make progress. Losses are narrowing, yields on its 18A process are improving, and management remains focused on achieving profitability in the coming years.
Overall, following the rally, Intel now trades at elevated valuation multiples that reflect significant expectations for continued AI-driven growth.
However, supporters argue that continued growth in AI infrastructure, expanding demand for Intel processors, improving foundry economics, and stronger execution could provide further support for the stock.
