Machine learning algorithm sets Bitcoin price for August 31, 2026

After enjoying a substantial recovery through most of July, Bitcoin (BTC) began reversing later in the month, and Finbold’s artificial intelligence (AI) predictive machine learning algorithm estimates that the latest downtrend will persist by August 31.

Specifically, after analyzing the cryptocurrency using a variety of technical tools, including moving averages (MA), the relative strength index (RSI), and oscillators, the average AI BTC price prediction came in at $59,981 – 3.87% below the press-time price.

Out of the eight models included in the predictive system, DeepSeek proved the most bearish, having forecasted Bitcoin would fall 8.17% to $57,300. Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 5 was the second least optimistic, with a 6.25% estimated drop to $58,500.

On the flip side, OpenAI’s flagship platform variant GPT-5.7 Luna predicted BTC would remain almost flat by August 31 and trade at $61,800 – 0.96% below the press-time price. Finally, despite forecasting that Bitcoin price would fall 2.48% to $60,850, GPT-5.6 Sol was the second-most optimistic about the cryptocurrency’s performance by the month’s end.

Bitcoin price performance in 2026

Meanwhile, Bitcoin has enjoyed something of a resurgence during July, and the digital asset is up 1.70% to $62,396 within the last 30 days. At least some of the rally can be attributed to the hoped-for CLARITY Act vote, originally expected on August 3.

Still, BTC failed to sustain the uptrend and reversed shortly after crossing above $66,160 on July 22. Considering the vote on the cryptocurrency bill has not been scheduled for Monday, the renewed uncertainty over the passing of the legal framework before the midterms will also likely adversely affect performance.

Finally, despite the relative strength in July, Bitcoin remains substantially in the red in 2026. Indeed, the digital asset is down 28.62% year-to-date (YTD) and remains roughly 50% below the all-time high (ATH) recorded in late 2026.
