Morgan Stanley sets Nvidia stock price target after naming it a ‘Top Pick’

Seeing that Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) stock soared to a new all-time high (ATH) on October 2, 2026, driven by its strong fundamentals such as its recently announced $150 billion share repurchase program, Joseph Moore, a Wall Street analyst at Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS), has set his 12-month price target and named this company his ‘top pick’ in the semiconductor industry.

Moore reiterated the bank’s Nvidia stock price target for the next 12 months at $300, according to a note sent to its clients on Friday. With NVDA stock trading at $234.4 at the time of reporting, Moore signals at a potential 28.02% upside by October 2, 2027.

Morgan Stanley maintained NVDA as its top pick in the Semiconductor sector after having recently hosted Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, and Colette Kress, the company’s CFO, for investor meetings.

The discussions highlighted Nvidia’s expanding customer base, strong demand across hyperscalers and frontier labs, and a strategic focus on boosting revenue per gigawatt.

Wall Street analysts sets Nvidia stock price target for 12 months

Moore joined five other Wall Street analysts who have reaffirmed a bullish Nvidia stock price target since the company authorized a $150 billion share buyback on September 28, 2026.

As such, 31 Wall Street analysts surveyed by TipRanks over the past 3 months have set an average 12-month price target for NVDA at $324.32, thereby indicating a possible rally towards a new peak.

Is NVDA a good stock to buy?

Although Nvidia stock rallied by more than 25% over the past 12 months, it has struggled to rally above a resistance level near $234. At press time, this company had a market capitalization of roughly $5.6 trillion.
