Plume, the first permissionless, full-stack blockchain built for real-world asset finance, today announced that it will be working with OpenTrade to launch and integrate new yield bearing vaults through Nest, its flagship staking protocol. These are powered by OpenTrade’s real-world asset (RWA) stablecoin yield infrastructure and backed by WisdomTree’s suite of tokenized funds.
OpenTrade, founded by a team that played key roles in the development of USDC at Centre (the joint venture between Coinbase and Circle) and backed by investors including a16zCrypto and Circle, has leveraged their deep expertise in stablecoin infrastructure to build an enterprise-grade stablecoin ‘yield-as-a-service’ platform that makes accessing RWA-backed yield on USDC and USDC.e seamless and secure. OpenTrade will deploy, manage and scale stablecoin yield products backing Nest’s vaults, enabling Nest’s users to earn yield on their stablecoins balances backed by exposure to WisdomTree’s tokenized funds using their existing wallets and other Web3 native systems.

Plume’s integration of OpenTrade vaults backed by WisdomTree tokenized funds on Nest provides users with a seamless experience. By depositing stablecoins, users receive vault tokens that accrue interest in real-time, with the flexibility to unstake and receive their USDC and accrued interest at any time. In the back-end, this process is facilitated by OpenTrade’s on-chain vault infrastructure, which complies with Nest’s adherence to ERC-4626 and ERC-7540 standards and ensures standardized and transparent reflections of interest rates and accruals between on-chain balances and underlying assets at all times. OpenTrade’s dedicated asset manager, Five Sigma, which manages over $6B in AUMA and operates under UK financial regulator (Financial Conduct Authority) supervision, carries out all fund transfer, trading, and reporting activities through automated systems and processes that are fully integrated with OpenTrade’s on-chain vaults.

The first two OpenTrade–WisdomTree vaults integrated into Nest will be secured by the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX) and the WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Digital Fund (CRDT) respectively, with additional vaults backed by other WisdomTree tokenized funds planned for launch in the upcoming months.
