A Wall Street analyst has reaffirmed a positive outlook on Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META), maintaining a ‘Buy’ rating that signals confidence in the company’s medium- to long-term growth prospects despite recent underperformance.
In this context, Truist Securities analyst Youssef Squali has set a Meta price target of $875, implying a potential upside of about 40% from the last closing price of around $620.

Squali argued that Meta’s current valuation does not fully reflect its ability to narrow the gap with peers in artificial intelligence.
The analyst noted that Meta has lagged other hyperscalers since its third-quarter earnings report, as investors focused on elevated capital and operating expenditures tied to AI investments, as well as concerns about the company’s competitive positioning.

However, Truist believes much of that caution is already priced into the stock, noting that Meta trades at roughly 20 times earnings, well below the 30-times-plus multiples assigned to peers such as Alphabet and Amazon.
Squali expects Meta’s upcoming earnings to land near the top of market expectations, supported by strong user engagement, improved content ranking, and better monetization, which he believes will offset near-term spending pressures and underpin sustained revenue growth.
For the fourth quarter of 2025, Wall Street expects Meta to report earnings of $8.29 per share, up 3.4% from $8.02 a year earlier. Attention is now turning to Meta’s January 28 earnings release, where revenue and spending guidance are expected to broadly align with consensus forecasts.
Truist remains bullish, citing improving engagement and advancing AI capabilities as potential catalysts for a longer-term re-rating of the stock.

Beyond Truist, broader Wall Street sentiment remains similarly upbeat. Based on ratings and price targets from 44 analysts tracked by TipRanks, Meta carries a consensus Strong Buy rating, driven by 37 buy recommendations, six holds, and just one sell.

The average 12-month price target stands at $823.63, implying a potential upside of nearly 33% from the stock’s last price of $620. Analyst forecasts vary widely, with the most bullish target at $1,117 and the lowest at $655.15.
