In spite of the fact that Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ: GOOGL) stock has fallen by more than 13% from its 52-week peak of approximately $409.37 as of October 12, 2026, Wall Street analysts are largely expecting a rally to a new all-time high (ATH) over the next 12 months.
On Monday, Deepak Mathivanan, an expert at Cantor Fitzgerald, maintained a ‘Buy’ rating for Google stock. Mathivanan also reaffirmed a 12-month target for GOOGL of $420.
With Google stock trading at $353.88 at the time of reporting, Cantor Fitzgerald signals a potential 18.68% upside by October 12, 2027.
This bullish thesis was centered around the company’s disciplined execution across its primary growth engines. Specifically, Mathivanan argued that accelerated artificial intelligence (AI) integration across Search and product ecosystems continues to solidify long-term revenue visibility.
Furthermore, this analyst highlighted that Google Cloud Platform’s expanding operating margins and $514 billion backlog provide strong fundamental support for the firm’s maintained valuation target.

Is Google a good stock to buy?
Since hitting its ATH on May 20, 2026, Google stock has been trapped in a choppy consolidation. Over the last 12 months, GOOGL’s price has climbed 12.24%, hence pushing its market capitalization to $4.3 trillion at the time of reporting.

Despite this notable consolidation for Google stock over the past few months, Wall Street analysts have reassured investors of a possible rally to a new ATH over the next 12 months.
