Micron (NASDAQ: MU) has suffered significant losses in the past month, losing roughly 8.5% of its value in a broader chip-market selloff. Looking toward the company’s next earnings date, September 30, 2026, our machine learning algorithm believes the price is likely to fall further.

According to Finbold’s AI prediction agent, Micron will most likely change hands at $910.25 on September 30, having falled 1.74% from the reference price of $926.4 on press time, September 17.

The average price represents the combined predictions of three artificial intelligence (AI) models, namely DeepSeek Chat, Gemini 3.5 Flash, and ChatGPT-5.7 Luna. Notably, all three projected that the chipmaker will continue on its downward trend over the coming couple of weeks.

DeepSeek Chat sees a downside potential for 2.58% and has a Micron stock price target of $902.5 on September 30. Gemini 3.5 Flash and ChatGPT-5.7 Luna, on the other hand, predict the shares will drop to $912.5 and 915.75, respectively, which suggests a 1.15%-1.5% correction.

Short-term Micron stock outlook

Despite the rough patch this month, Micron is still up roughly 193% year-to-date (YTD), and the stock appears inexpensive, trading at just 5.77 times estimated forward earnings.

On September 16, TD Cowen analysts even reiterated their “Buy” rating on Micron, saying shares could undergo a “rerating” as investors become more confident that the current memory-chip cycle can remain durable. In addition, they set a $1,600 price target based on a price-to-earnings multiple of 9 times their 2027 earnings estimate.

In the short-term, however, the next major catalyst is Micron’s upcoming earnings report, scheduled for September 30. TD Cowen analyst Krish Sankar expects shareholder returns to be a key focus of the earnings call, arguing management could authorize a share-buyback program in the low-$20 billion range.

However, the company would likely not begin repurchasing shares until December, so it remains to be seen how the potential announcement might affect share prices.
