With XRP rising abruptly on Monday, November 17, Finbold turned to an artificial intelligence (AI) model to set the odds of the token hitting another record price this year.
At press time, XRP was trading at $2.27, up 2.06% on the daily chart and outperforming the broader crypto market, which is down 0.2%.
Still, at the current price, XRP is far below its all-time high of $3.84.
AI assesses XRP fundamentals
To assess XRP’s chances of setting a new record, Finbold consulted OpenAI’s leading large language model, ChatGPT-5, which highlighted several catalysts that could support such a move.
According to the chatbot, improving regulatory clarity and institutional adoption remain the biggest drivers. Indeed, the recently launched XRP ETF saw $26 million in trading volume within the first 30 minutes, becoming the best-performing fund so far in 2025.
Similarly, the AI argued that favorable macro conditions could also boost risk assets and improve the crypto’s momentum in the following weeks, in particular the growing demand for bridge assets.
On the downside, though, ChatGPT noted that the general dips in the overall crypto market likely reflect near-term fragility. This has also become evident in recent Bitcoin (BTC) selling activity, which suggests a $1 billion crash might be coming.
Will XRP hit a new all-time high?
All things considered, the model believes there’s a 30% chance that XRP could hit a new all-time high in 2025 in the base case scenario.
If many of the bullish conditions align, including regulatory clarity, ETF approval, strong adoption, and good macro developments, an XRP rally could increase the chances up to 40%.
Conversely, more bearish developments contrary to those mentioned above would sink the chances of a new record price to 15%.
Ultimately, what sticks out is that ChatGPT sees some potential for XRP to reach new heights in virtually all scenarios, but that even the most optimistic ones make it “only” 40% likely, meaning that traders should approach the prospect of a new XRP all-time high with caution.
