KeyBanc has reaffirmed its bullish stance on Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META), maintaining an ‘Overweight’ rating and a stock price target of $780 following the launch of the company’s new AI assistant, Muse.

With Meta shares trading at $613.48 at the time of the update, the $780 target implies potential upside of about 27.1%.

According to KeyBanc analyst Justin Patterson, Muse’s competitive advantages include an intuitive user interface, Meta’s vast distribution network, extensive data ecosystem, and an emphasis on privacy and security.

The firm noted that user engagement will be the primary measure of success in the early stages, with monetization expected to follow over time.

KeyBanc also argued that the market continues to underestimate Meta’s positioning in artificial intelligence, maintaining that the company’s AI initiatives and product cycle could support further stock gains.

Notably, the $780 Meta stock forecast is based on a valuation of 20 times projected 2028 earnings.

Wall Street bullish on Meta stock

The latest analyst update aligns with the broader Wall Street view on Meta. Based on data from 43 analysts covering the stock over the past three months, Meta carries a ‘Strong Buy’ consensus rating.

Among those analysts tracked by TipRanks, 37 recommend buying the stock, while six suggest holding. No analysts currently rate Meta as a sell.

Wall Street’s average 12-month Meta stock price target stands at $753.08, representing upside of about 22.8% from current levels. The highest target is $1,000, while the lowest forecast is $580.

At the same time, investors continue to monitor the company’s aggressive spending plans. Meta expects to invest between $130 billion and $145 billion this year, largely focused on AI infrastructure, data centers, and computing capacity.

While some analysts see these investments as necessary to maintain leadership in AI, others are watching for clearer evidence that the spending will translate into sustained earnings growth.
