BTC's hidden history: 'Hijacking Bitcoin'  book becomes a best seller

The prominent Bitcoin (BTC) early investor, Roger Ver, officially launched his new book, Hijacking Bitcoin, on April 5. Wrote with Robert Patterson, the book was its Amazon category’s best-seller while promising to unveil the “hidden history of BTC”.

Notably, Hijacking Bitcoin is drawing the cryptocurrency market‘s attention and already causing turmoil among BTC supporters. On its official launch day, Molly Zuckerman posted an opinion article on Blockworks, deeming Roger Ver “right about Bitcoin.” A message that many BTC investors and contributors refuse to agree with.

In particular, Adam Back has started to actively post and comment on X (formerly Twitter) with criticisms about Hijacking Bitcoin. Back is the CEO of Blockstream, one of the leading institutions in development contribution to the Bitcoin Core software. However, he is also a controversial figure, which Ver and Patterson mentioned in the book.

Hijacking Bitcoin is accessible for purchase on Amazon using traditional payment methods or through Bitcoin Cash (BCH). After reading, investors and users can draw their conclusions on the deemed “hidden history” of the maiden cryptocurrency.

Who is Roger Ver, author of Hijacking Bitcoin?

Roger Ver, an early Bitcoin investor and evangelist, earned the nickname “Bitcoin Jesus” for his fervent advocacy of the cryptocurrency. Ver invested in Bitcoin startups, promoting its adoption and helping establish the Bitcoin Foundation.

Additionally, he founded Bitcoin.com, a leading platform for cryptocurrency news, wallets, and mining.

However, Roger Ver became a controversial figure due to his support for Bitcoin Cash, a hard fork of Bitcoin. This led to a split in the Bitcoin community and accusations of misleading marketing from entities involved with BTC. These and other accusations have mined Roger Ver’s credibility in the mainstream media, which remains significantly damaged by the time of writing.

Nevertheless, people like Molly Zuckerman starts to shift their perceptions following the reading of ‘Hijacking Bitcoin: The Hidden History of BTC‘:

“After reading ‘Hijacking Bitcoin,’ I think we might owe Roger Ver a collective apology”

His passion for cryptocurrency and libertarian ideals has made him a polarizing figure, with both ardent supporters and critics. As the landscape evolves, Ver continues to be a vocal advocate for his vision of a decentralized future.
