We are looking for a skilled Cryptocurrency News Reporter with strong journalistic instincts and a proven ability to identify, analyze, and report on the fast-moving digital assets market. The ideal candidate will create original, data-backed content that goes beyond surface-level reporting and helps readers understand what’s driving crypto market movements. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and involves writing four unique articles per day between 9:00 and 17:00 Central European Time (CET).
Key Responsibilities
Cover daily and breaking news across cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, digital asset regulation, ETFs, market movements, and institutional trends.
Pitch original, insightful, data-driven story ideas, using reputable sources such as on-chain analytics, institutional reports, legal filings, and expert commentary.
Produce news articles that add value and perspective, rather than simply rewriting existing content elsewhere online.
Interpret data from sources like Glassnode, Santiment, IntoTheBlock, CoinMarketCap, Arkham, and similar platforms to generate market insights.
Apply editorial feedback constructively, ensuring repeated mistakes do not recur.
Collaborate with the editorial team to refine content flow and support wider content strategy.
Uphold Finbold’s editorial and brand guidelines, ensuring accuracy, credibility, and consistency.
Understand and apply SEO best practices, including keyword targeting, structured headings, metadata, and internal linking.
Work efficiently and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards.
Requirements
2+ years of journalism or cryptocurrency news writing experience.
In-depth understanding of blockchain fundamentals, market mechanics, and regulatory landscapes.
Proven ability to react quickly to breaking news, especially around price action, legislation, and institutional developments.
Experience using data, charts, and technical indicators to support reporting.
Strong writing skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Demonstrated ability to implement editorial feedback effectively.
Must provide published cryptocurrency-related work samples and professional references.
Nice to Have
Experience interviewing market analysts, project founders, or policy experts.
Knowledge of AI-driven SEO strategies and Google Discover optimization.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate strong analytical ability and a track record of discovering fresh angles through independent research and data interpretation.
