As Ethereum (ETH) added more than $12.4 billion to its market capitalization over the past 24 hours, its United States spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) recorded their highest daily cash inflow since October 28, 2025, on August 20.
The U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs registered a daily total net cash inflow of $220.77 million on Thursday, according to metrics from SoSoValue, as analyzed by Finbold on August 21. The last time these funds closed their daily cash flow with over $220 million was nine months and 24 days ago, when they attracted $246.02 million.

These spot ETH ETFs have seen a gradual increase in positive cash inflows over seven consecutive days, thus signaling a renewed demand from whales and institutional investors.
The highest daily cash inflow was through iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), the largest spot ETH ETF backed by BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK). Specifically, ETHA closed Thursday with a net inflow of $173.3 million, thus increasing its Ethereum holdings to 3.08 million ETH valued at about $7.4 billion at press time.
Notably, BlackRock’s iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) recorded the second-highest in daily cash inflow, roughly $35.90 million, thereby increasing its ETF holdings to $765.96 million. As a result, U.S. spot ETH ETFs have total net assets of $13.58 billion at the time of publication.
Here is what Ethereum whales are signaling
As investors flocked to gain exposure to Ethereum via spot ETFs over the past week, ETH price has surged by more than 28%, trading at $2,409 at the time of reporting. As such, the crypto asset has a market capitalization of $289.4 billion, with a 24-hour average traded volume of $30.85 billion.

From a technical analysis standpoint, ETH price has retested a major resistance level that has been in place since the February crypto capitulation. If spot ETH ETFs continue to accumulate aggressively in the coming days and weeks, ETH price could break above its current resistance level.
