Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) announced on October 22 that its Board of Directors had declared a quarterly Google dividend of $15.63 per share on each Series A and Series B mandatory convertible preferred stock.

The update dividend is equivalent to approximately $0.78 per each of the company’s Series A and Series B depositary shares, and it is payable on November 15, 2026 to stockholders on record as of November 1, 2026.

However, the change does not affect GOOGL Class A shares, which are still scheduled to receive a payout of $0.22 per share a month later, on December 15, according to Dividend.com estimates.

That payment remains unchanged from the previous one issued in September. To qualify for it, investors must hold their shares prior to December 7.

What does Google’s new dividend mean?

The board’s newly declared quarterly $15.63 dividend applies to the company’s 6.25% mandatory convertible preferred stock issued in June 2026.

In other words, only preferred holders will receive a payment, i.e., those with depositary (GOOGM, GOOGN) shares, not common (GOOGL, GOOG) shares.

As mentioned, common share investors will receive $0.22, or $22 per 100 shares. At the current price of $324, such a position is worth $3,240.

Alphabet’s dividend profile

As of press time, Alphabet has a dividend yield of 0.27% on common shares. Its payout ratio is at 5.74%, and it has increased dividends for two years in a row.

The company pays dividends quarterly, and the average price recovery is ten days. Its 52-week yield high was 0.4%, recorded on March 7, 2026. Conversely, the 52-week low was 0.2%, seen on June 8, 2026.

Google’s dividend has a one-year (trailing twelve months) growth rate of 4.82% and a three-year average dividend growth rate of 4.36%.
