Hub.xyz, a multimodal data platform, and PlayAI, a programmable automation layer for crypto and artificial intelligence (AI), have partnered up to create a decentralized system that turns real-world vision data into structured Enterprise-grade AI assets.
The partnership was announced on October 23, with the two parties sharing the details directly with Finbold ahead of the public release.
At the heart of this collaboration are MadRims, AI-powered glasses built on the PlayAI Network and designed to make the physical world as interactive as the internet.
More precisely, the device can translate natural language commands into executable digital actions to bring on-chain automation to the user’s environment.
Next-gen AI and robotics
As part of the deal, PlayAI will feed MadRims’ decentralized vision data into Hub’s real-time infrastructure. In turn, Hub will handle labeling, annotation, and quality assurance to translate raw images into verifiable datasets.
Ultimately, those datasets will become a tradeable asset for training large models in fields like robotics, finance, and autonomous systems, giving developers and contributors a new co-monetization model to work with.
“By bringing MadRims vision data into Hub and streaming it back out as structured, verifiable feeds, we’re delivering the rails enterprises need for next-gen AI and robotics,” Tim Sprecher, Co-founder and COO of Hub.xyz, told Finbold.
Moreover, PlayAI’s agentic workflows will also operate on Hub’s low-latency pipelines. Accordingly, agents will be able to react instantly to live behavioral, financial, or threat signals. This live intelligence could thus enhance trading algorithms down the line, finding additional use cases in areas such as news analysis.
“Decentralized living”
Beyond technological innovation, the collaboration seeks to illustrate what the two partners call “decentralized living.”
This concept entails a confluence of identity, access, and automation, all working seamlessly across applications free from centralized control. Simply put, Hub’s infrastructure will allow users to authenticate, execute tasks, and connect across digital ecosystems while preserving privacy and sovereignty.
“PlayAI’s mission is to orchestrate crypto x AI. Integrating Hub’s real-time streams lets our agents act on fresh signals, while our MadRims network supplies frontier data that models actually need,” added Ramees, Founder and CEO of PlayAI.
On the other end, PlayAI hopes to reach the status of the “Zapier of on-chain AI” and help users automate real-world tasks via simple prompts.
Finally, equipped with a 12-megapixel camera, open-ear speakers, voice activation functionalities, and modular shades, MadRims became available for preorder in September for $49 (full price: $249), with 1,000 Founder’s Editions available.
