Jeanine Pirro’s net worth 2025: A look at Trump’s latest appointee

Diana Paluteder

Summary

⚈ Jeanine Pirro is appointed interim U.S. Attorney for D.C., replacing Ed Martin after GOP pushback.

⚈ A former Fox News host and longtime legal figure, Pirro joins a growing list of Trump-era media appointees.

⚈ Her 2025 net worth is estimated at $14 million.

On May 8, 2025, President Donald Trump tapped former Fox News host Jeanine Pirro as the interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. She’s replacing Ed Martin, whose nomination hit a wall after backlash over his lenient approach to January 6 prosecutions cost him critical Republican backing.

Pirro’s new post adds her to a growing list of Fox News veterans stepping into political power. In fact, according to Media Matters, she’s the 23rd person with Fox ties to land a government role under Trump. That telegenic roster includes Pam Bondi, now U.S. Attorney General, and Pete Hegseth, the former Fox & Friends Weekend host now serving as Secretary of Defense.

Who is Jeanine Pirro?

Jeanine Pirro is an American attorney and television personality with a long career in both law and media. She began practicing law in 1975 as an Assistant District Attorney in Westchester County, New York, and later became the county’s first female judge. In 1993, she was elected as Westchester County’s first female District Attorney.

But it was her time on television that made her a household name. Pirro hosted Justice with Judge Jeanine on Fox News for over a decade, where her takes on politics and the law made her a star among conservative viewers. She’s also authored several books and built a career on the media circuit.

Following the 2020 U.S. presidential election,  Pirro joined a number of Fox hosts who aired unfounded claims about election fraud involving voting machines. This led to her being named in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox News. In April 2023, Fox News settled the case for $787.5 million and acknowledged that it had aired false claims about Dominion’s voting machines. Pirro is also a defendant in a separate $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit filed by voting technology company Smartmatic, which as of May 2025, remains ongoing.

Jeanine Pirro’s net worth

As of May 2025, Jeanine Pirro’s net worth is approximately $14 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Her wealth is attributed to her extensive career in law, her tenure as a television host, book deals, and public speaking engagements.

A change in salary

Jeanine Pirro’s transition from television to a government position may come with a significant pay cut.  At Fox News, she reportedly earned around $3 million annually. In her new role, while specific salary information for this role is not publicly disclosed, U.S. Attorneys’ salaries are generally determined based on the Executive Schedule pay scale.

According to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, as of January 2025, the annual salary for Executive Schedule Level II positions is $225,700. However, it’s important to note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as tenure, experience, and specific departmental guidelines.
