Leopold Aschenbrenner, one of the youngest billionaire investors and a former OpenAI researcher, has revealed updated holdings for his Situational Awareness Fund.
According to the latest 13F filings, submitted on May 18, 2026, the Leopold Aschenbrenner hedge fund is primarily betting on artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, data centers, and compute.
More specifically, the portfolio’s largest disclosed positions included Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) at $878.7 million, Sandisk (NASDAQ: SNDK) at $724.4 million, and CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV) at $556.1 million.

Notably, the filing also showed sizable exposure to Bitcoin (BTC) mining companies and the energy sector, including Iren Limited (NASDAQ: IREN), Core Scientific (NASDAQ: CORZ), and CleanSpark (NASDAQ: CLSK).
Other holdings include various semiconductor and AI supply chain names, such as AMD (NASDAQ: AMD), Intel stock (NASDAQ: INTC), and Micron (NASDAQ: MU).
Leopold Aschenbrenner investment strategy
While Leopold Aschenbrenner net worth remains unknown, the 25-year-old investor has drawn significant attention since he launched the Situational Awareness LP in September 2024. Reportedly, he managed to turn $225 million into $5.5 billion in 12 months, with his investment vehicle churning a 60% profit in just two months earlier this year.
As the filings suggest, Aschenbrenner’s investment approach is closely aligned with his background in artificial intelligence research. The most notable aspect of the strategy, however, is the deliberate focus on infrastructure rather than mere headline names.
For example, while much of the market is increasingly focused on leaders, such as Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), Situational Awareness has instead built positions further down the value chain, focusing on the basics such as power and compute.
Nonetheless, the success has been more than evident. For instance, the fund’s largest disclosed position, Bloom Energy, which develops solid oxide fuel cells used in high-density energy applications such as AI data centers, has been one of the standout performers in 2026, rising nearly 180% year-to-date.
