Machine learning algorithm sets AMD stock price for September 30, 2026

Machine learning algorithm sets AMD stock price for September 30, 2026

Finbold’s machine learning algorithm predicted that, after an overall substantial rally in 2026 but also a significant decline since late June, Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) stock is likely to consolidate and even slightly rise relative to its latest close at $477.57.

Specifically, having consulted various technical analysis (TA) indicators, including oscillators, the relative strength index (RSI), and moving averages (MA), the Finbold AI agent set its September 30, 2026 AMD stock price target at $489.41, effectively forecasting a 2.48% upside.

Out of the five artificial intelligence (AI) models included in the predictive system, DeepSeek was the only one to estimate that a decline is more likely than a rise. Indeed, China’s most recognizable AI assessed that Advanced Micro Devices shares will be changing hands at $457.15 at the end of the month – 4.28% below the latest close.

Elsewhere, ChatGPT-5.6 Terra was the most bullish part of the predictive platform, as it forecasted a 6.04% rally to $506.40 by September 30. OpenAI’s other two models – Sol and Luna – were also moderately optimistic and predicted a 3.19% and 3.69% rally, respectively.

Lastly, Google’s (NASDAQ: GOOGL) AI platform, Gemini, set its sights on $495.50 for a 3.75%  rally by the end of the month.

2026 AMD stock price performance

Meanwhile, 2026 has been a year of significant growth for AMD stock. The semiconductor giant previously failed to truly rise amidst the AI ‘boom,’ and fell far behind its bigger competitor, Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA).

Year-to-date (YTD), however, Advanced Micro Devices soared 113.71% from $223.47 to $477.57 at the latest close, simultaneously outperforming NVDA shares, which are up only 21.98% within the same time frame.

Still, the summer has not been as kind to CEO Lisa Su’s company, and it has featured a 17% correction since late June. Notably, however, this decline affected much of the technology sector and came after the preceding rise turned valuations exceptionally stretched.

Under the circumstances and given that AMD stock is up 1.71% in the last month, Finbold AI’s prediction appears in line with the notion that the equity is consolidating ahead of the breakout, though the other driver of the summer decline – growing unpopularity of AI and the technology’s failure to produce impressive and measurable benefits – does leave room for a deeper downturn.
