Mark Zuckerberg, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META), made a hefty Meta stock sale worth approximately $21.36 million.
Executed on September 24, 2026, according to the latest Form 4 filings, the transactions involved Class A Common Stock sold through entities affiliated with Zuckerberg, at roughly $775-$779 per share.
First, CZI Holdings, for which Zuckerberg serves as trustee, sold a total of 17,140 shares under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on January 31, 2026, at prices ranging from $775 to $779.8 per share. The sales had an aggregate value of approximately $13.33 million.
Separately, Chan Zuckerberg Biohub, over which Zuckerberg is deemed to have sole voting and investment power, sold 10,334 shares, conducted as part of the same trading plan. With shares sold at prices ranging from $775 to $779.8 per share, the sale was worth approximately $8.03 million.

Zuckerberg’s first Meta stock sale in a year
The recent move was Zuckerberg’s first disclosed Meta sale in over a year. The last time he made a move was in August 2025, when he sold roughly $98 million worth of the stock in a couple of weeks.
However, CZI Holdings also acquired 17,140 shares of Meta Class A Common Stock at a price of $0 per share immediately after the September 24 sale. The acquisition resulted from the conversion of an equivalent number of Class B Common Stock shares.
Furthermore, Zuckerberg also owns a substantial number of Meta Class B Common Stock shares indirectly, through various entities and arrangements, including the Mark Zuckerberg Trust dated July 7, 2006, and Chan Zuckerberg Holdings. These shares are convertible into Class A Common Stock on a one-for-one basis.
