Marvell to pay dividends this week; Here’s how much 100 MRVL shares will earn

Marvell to pay dividends this week; Here’s how much 100 MRVL shares will earn

The technology company Marvell (NASDAQ: MRVL), which drew much attention this summer after Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang opined it could soon hit a $1 trillion market capitalization, is scheduled to pay its final 2026 dividend this week on October 29.

Specifically, the semiconductor firm will yet again pay its investors $0.06 per share on Thursday, with the caveat that only those who bought MRVL equity before October 9 will be rewarded.

Given the declared amount, one would have needed to put approximately $27,466 to acquire 100 Marvell shares and receive $6.

Meanwhile, investors who purchased the equity at the very start of 2026 would have spent approximately $8,939 to take full advantage of the four quarterly dividends amounting to $24 for 100 MRVL – $0.24 per individual share.

Buying 100 MRVL shares at start of 2026 would have led to $24 in dividends and $14,000 in profits

Indeed, as can be inferred from the purchase needed to receive all four of this year’s dividends against only the fourth, it is clear that the semiconductor company would have yielded far more significant benefits to its backers than the dividends alone.

Despite dropping 26% from the early June highs and suffering an 18.55% correction since October 6, with the fall to $233.78 at the latest close, Marvell stock remains 161.53% in the green year-to-date (YTD).

Thus, buying 100 MRVL shares at the start of the year would have cost $8,939 and yielded $24 in dividends and $14,439 in unrealized profits for a position worth, at the October 26 close, $23,378.

What’s next for Marvell stock in 2026?

Lastly, the future performance of Marvell stock appears uncertain, though with a certain bullish bias.

Considering the company owes – much like most of big tech – its recent success to artificial intelligence (AI), it could either enjoy a powerful final leg of the year’s rally or a catastrophic plummet.

On the more optimistic side, both the prominent executives and the notable institutional analysts appear confident that the AI industry will continue advancing.

MRVL itself is, for example, overall regarded as a ‘Strong Buy’ by Wall Street and is, on average, expected to rise 48.39% to $346.90 in the next 12 months, per the data Finbold retrieved from TradingView on October 27.

Similarly, American Ed Yardeni found earlier in October that, despite being relatively firmly in bubble ‘territory’, the AI ‘boom’ remains unlikely to turn into a bust in the foreseeable future.

Still, recent developments also provide a bear case. Even the wealthiest companies in the world appear to have overextended themselves to finance AI infrastructure to the point of needing to either raise debt or issue additional equity.

At the same time, at least some of the biggest technology firms in the world – Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) and Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) being the most salient examples – allegedly purchased more hardware than they can use.

Ultimately, the Anthropic initial public offering (IPO) – expected before Thanksgiving following the latest filing – could prove the decisive event for the late 2026 trajectory of the AI sector and, by extension, Marvell stock.
