Meanwhile, the latest known round of insider trading at the company came just as Meta Platforms stock hit this month’s low and began a recovery that took it 2.82% higher over the last week, from $543.67 to $559.02.

Still, despite the latest rebound, the equity remains on a long-term downtrend and has lost 14.05% of its value since 2026 started.
Looking ahead, however, META shares might benefit from strong tailwinds already in September, amidst reported plans to launch its ‘Hatch’ artificial intelligence (AI) agent ‘in the coming weeks,’ per an August 25 report by The Information.
Furthermore, despite the year-to-date (YTD) performance of the stock, Wall Street analysts remain generally confident in future strong performance.
Indeed, Meta Platforms is, overall, considered a ‘Strong Buy,’ boasting thirty-eight positive, five ‘Neutral,’ and no ‘Sell’ ratings, per the data Finbold retrieved from TipRanks on August 25.

On average, META shares are expected to reverse their 2026 losses and rally 34.77% to $753.41 in the coming 12 months.
