On June 10, 2026, Mad Money host Jim Cramer said he would buy Reddit (NASDAQ: RDDT) stock ‘very slowly,’ arguing it had a ‘very good unique property.’
At the time of his endorsement, the social media platform’s shares were trading at $172.21. By press time, August 26, the price had dropped to $162.45.
In other words, Reddit stock is down 5.67% since the former hedge fund manager first endorsed it. Year-to-date, the price is down 32.84%.

Despite the unfavorable performance over the past couple of months, Cramer is once again endorsing Reddit. Namely, on the August 25 Mad Money episode, the host called the stock ‘such a buy, it’s ridiculous.’
‘Reddit stock is such a buy, it’s ridiculous,’ says Jim Cramer: Is he right?
Cramer’s latest endorsement has coincided with heightened volatility, as investors are now weighing fresh interest from the artificial intelligence (AI) sector against ongoing concerns about traffic, growth, and valuation, all of which have pushed RDDT shares up 6.39% on the daily chart.
More specifically, the rally accelerated following a report by The Information that Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) is preparing to launch a consumer AI agent called Hatch, which is reportedly designed to browse and interact with Reddit.
The potential inclusion in an AI-powered consumer platform is significant. After all, Reddit’s massive database of human opinions, recommendations, discussions, and real-time community knowledge could become increasingly valuable as AI leaders continue to work on improving their models.
What’s more, investors were also quick to remember that the development reinforces the idea that Reddit’s unique user-generated content may have strategic value when it comes to advertising.
Be that as it may, Reddit remains an exceptionally volatile stock, with dozens of daily moves of more than 5% over the past year. For example, less than two weeks ago, it gained nearly 15% after S&P Dow Jones Indices announced that the company would join the S&P 500.
