Even if you’re as shrewd a trader as Warren Buffett or have a substantial investment portfolio like Bill Gates, it won’t guarantee success against insider trading. And Dan Meuser is regarded as one of the most adept insider traders in US politics.

Namely, In terms of portfolio performance for the current quarter, there are notable variations among prominent investors: Warren Buffett +0.9%, Ray Dalio +6.2%, George Soros +6.2%, Bill Gates +9.9%, Carl Icahn +10.3%.

However, U.S. Representative Dan Meuser stands out significantly, boasting an impressive surge of 37.1% in portfolio performance for the same period, according to stock trade tracker Quiver Quantitative’s post on March 5.

How does Dan Mauser’s portfolio look?

Representative Mauser has primarily focused his trading activities within the information technology sector, accounting for 17 out of 56 recorded trades, followed by the communication services sector with 12 trades. He has also shown considerable interest in investments within the financial industry, with 9 trades.

The latest activity in Congressman Mauser’s portfolio was recorded in mid-August 2023 when he sold up to $300,000 worth of Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) shares. NVDA stock has surged since then, adding 96% to its value.

His most recent recorded stock purchases date back to March 30, 2020, when he acquired up to $15,000 worth of shares in Visa (NYSE: V), Disney (NYSE: DIS), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), and Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL). However, these purchases were reported significantly later, in August 2021.

To date, Meuser hasn’t disclosed sales of these stocks mentioned above, which are contributing to his portfolio’s strong annual return.
