The next quarterly UnitedHealth (NYSE: UNH) dividend is coming next week, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, when all shareholders of record as of the close of business on September 14, 2026, will receive $2.32 per share.

With the payment unchanged from the previous quarter paid on June 23, investors holding 100 UNH shares will once again receive $232 in quarterly cash dividends. Those holding 50 shares will receive $116, while those holding 10 shares will receive $23.

Combined with the first quarter payment, which was slightly lower at $2.2, the total payout over the past three quarters will amount to $685 on September 22. If the fourth quarter payout remains unchanged, investors will have made $917 per 100 shares in passive income in 2026 overall – roughly $2.5 per day. 

Compared with the previous year’s overall dividends, which totalled $873, this year’s expected figure will represent a 5% increase. Looking further back, the payout will represent a 12% increase from 2024, when it totalled $818.

UnitedHealth stock dividend 

UnitedHealth Group pays its dividend on a quarterly basis, with an average price recovery period of 6.5 days following its ex-dividend date. The stock has a forward payout ratio of 41.32%, indicating that the company distributes a solid portion of its earnings to shareholders while still retaining enough for business operations and other uses. 

Furthermore, the health care company has increased its dividend for 17 consecutive years, inspiring confidence in its commitment to returning capital to investors. It has a dividend yield of 2.47%, noticeably above the average dividend yield for the health care sector, which stands at 1.58%. The stock typically recovers 6.5 days after the payment.
