Despite Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL) stock being on an overall downtrend since reaching its 52-week highs in May, Wall Street has retained its overall bullishness toward Alphabet’s equity into September.

In fact, analyst Mark Mahaney from Evercore ISI not only reiterated his previous ‘Buy’ rating for GOOGL shares on Wednesday, but also offered an upward revision of his 12-month price target.
Specifically, the Wall Street expert made a 7.14% increase to his forecast from $420 – a 22.5% rally from the latest close at $342.87 – to $450 – for a 31.25% estimated upside.
According to the note, the upgrade was driven primarily by a recovery in Google’s core business – its search engine – which halted and partially reversed the market share loss it suffered in 2024 and 2025, and by Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) gains relative to ChatGPT.
75% of September analyst notes recommend buying Google stock
Meanwhile, though September saw Wall Street come out as overwhelmingly optimistic toward Alphabet stock, the bullishness was not universal. D.A. Davidson’s Gil Luria issued a ‘Hold’ recommendation for Google shares on the second day of the month, with no 12-month price target recorded on the stock analysis platform TipRanks.
Along with Evercore, Rosenblatt, and Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) provided ‘Buy’ ratings, with the former estimating GOOGL will rally to $410: 19.58% from the latest close.
Analysts predict Google stock price in the next 12 months
Zooming out further shows that the overall rating, based on all notes published in the last three months, positions Google stock as a ‘Strong Buy.’ Indeed, the blue-chip technology giant boasts twenty-four positive, four neutral, and no ‘Sell’ recommendations, per the data Finbold retrieved from TipRanks on September 17.

The average price target for the next 12 months is comparably optimistic, with GOOGL shares expected to rally 24.56% to $427.08 within the timeframe.
Finally, the Street low prediction highlights the general confidence, as it, at $379, also anticipated a significant Google stock rally in the coming 52 weeks.
