Wall Street firm Oppenheimer has reiterated its ‘Outperform’ rating on Palantir (NASDAQ: PLTR) and maintained a $200 price target.
The bullish stance reflects confidence in the artificial intelligence software company’s growth prospects ahead of its second-quarter earnings report. The updated Palantir stock price target implies upside of about 63% from the stock’s last closing price of $122.
The latest target comes as PLTR stock remains under pressure despite strong operating performance. Shares are down about 30% year-to-date and trade well below their 52-week high near $208.

Oppenheimer expects Palantir to deliver a strong second-quarter revenue beat and raise its full-year outlook, supported by robust demand from both U.S. government and commercial customers.
The firm’s $200 target is above the broader Wall Street consensus. According to TipRanks data, Palantir carries a ‘Moderate Buy’ rating based on 21 analyst reviews, including 15 ‘Buy’, four ‘Hold’, and two ‘Sell’ ratings.
The average 12-month PLTR price target stands at $181.24, representing potential upside of about 47% from current levels. Analyst forecasts range from a low of $70 to a high of $230.

Palantir stock fundamentals
The positive outlook reflects expectations that Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) will continue driving adoption across commercial and government sectors.
Investors are also closely watching the company’s second-quarter earnings report, scheduled for August 3, for signs of continued growth acceleration.
Palantir entered the second half of 2026 after reporting record first-quarter results. Revenue climbed 85% year-over-year to $1.63 billion, marking the company’s fastest growth rate since becoming a public company.
Growth was led by the U.S. commercial segment, where revenue surged 133% to $595 million. U.S. government revenue increased 84%, underscoring strength across both of Palantir’s core businesses.
Management also raised its full-year revenue guidance to between $7.65 billion and $7.66 billion, reflecting expected growth of about 71% in 2026. The company projects U.S. commercial revenue will exceed $3.22 billion this year.
Strong profitability has further strengthened the investment case. Palantir continues to generate high margins and solid free cash flow while expanding customer deployments and securing new partnerships across the AI ecosystem.
Valuation concerns around PLTR stock
Despite improving fundamentals, valuation remains a key point of debate among analysts. Palantir trades at premium earnings and sales multiples compared to most software peers, leaving the stock vulnerable to sentiment shifts and broader rotations out of high-growth technology stocks.
Meanwhile, bulls argue that Palantir’s AI-driven software platform, expanding commercial business, and growing role in government AI infrastructure justify a higher valuation than traditional software companies.
