As Micron Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: MU) stock attempts to break a major 12-month resistance level, up more than 14% over the past 5 days, Wall Street analysts expect a rally through this supply range and reach a new all-time high (ATH) by September 21, 2027.
As of September 21, 2026, 30 Wall Street analysts have set an average 12-month price target for MU stock at $1,564.44, according to data from TipRanks, which based its survey on ratings given over the past three months.

With Micron stock trading at $1,053.10 at the time of writing, these analysts are signaling a potential 48.58% upside over the next 12 months.
Out of the sampled experts, the highest 12-month MU stock forecast is $2,200, from Ben Reitzes, an analyst at Melius Research. Meanwhile, James Schneider, a researcher at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS), holds the lowest 12-month price target for Micron stock at $1,100.
Is MU a good stock to buy?
Earlier on Monday, Brian Chin, an analyst at Stifel Nicolaus, reiterated a ‘Buy’ rating for MU stock, according to a note Finbold analyzed. Chin also maintained the firm’s 12-month price target for Micron at $1,500, thereby predicting a possible 42.44% rally.
He based his bullish thesis for MU stock over the next 12 months on the company’s exceptionally strong fundamentals, superior pricing dynamics, and an underappreciated multi-year memory upcycle. Furthermore, this analyst anticipates Micron’s upcoming fiscal fourth quarter (F4Q) and F1Q financial results and forward guidance to surpass both Stifel Nicolaus and broader market consensus estimates.
On the risks to watch out, this firm believes that Dynamic Random-Access Memory (DRAM) shipment growth is expected to moderate to a sustainable 15 to 20% rate in calendar year (CY27). Nonetheless, Chin highlighted that due to tight artificial intelligence (AI) equipment availability and cleanroom timing, market supply will remain severely constrained unless supply growth surges beyond 40 and 50%.
Micron stock price performance
Over the past 12 months, MU stock has rallied more than 539%, thereby pushing the company’s market capitalization to $1.1 trillion.

As Micron stock printed its highest 30-day level earlier today, Wall Street analysts’ target could materialize, if MU’s uptrend continues over the coming months.
