Wall Street sets Oracle stock price target for next 12 months

Wall Street sets Oracle stock price target for next 12 months

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) stock’s 49.59% price collapse from the early June highs near $250 to $125.09 at press time has, so far, failed to decisively sour the mood of Wall Street analysts, with the most recent note featuring a ‘Buy’ rating.

Specifically, Goldman Sachs’ (NYSE: GS) Gabriela Borges issued a note on Friday, October 23, in which she gave ORCL shares a positive recommendation. Still, the steep decline left a mark as the Wall Street expert, despite staying bullish, decreased the 12-month Oracle stock price from $240 – a 91.86% upside – to $206 – a 63.88% predicted rally.

Reflecting on the change, Borges explained that, while artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure projects and investments have been under heightened scrutiny, the technology giant’s strong remaining performance obligation (RPO) growth and heightened revenue targets for fiscal year 2027 (FY2027) provide support for the optimistic outlook.

Zooming out reveals that the market turmoil and adverse business developments regarding Oracle in particular and the AI sector as a whole left little impression on institutional experts.

Overall, ORCL stock is viewed as a ‘Strong Buy’ on Wall Street, with twenty-seven positive, four ‘Hold’, and a single ‘Sell’ recommendation issued within the last three months, per the data Finbold retrieved from TipRanks on October 23.

Similarly, the average Oracle shares price target for the next 12 months is rather high and estimates the equity will rally 96.01% to $244.89 within the timeframe.

Finally, notes issued in October proved almost universally bullish, with four out of the six revisions featuring a ‘Buy’ rating. The two outliers came in the form of RBC Capital and Yorkville Ives & Co, with both providing a ‘Hold’ recommendation but a $165 and $155 price forecast, respectively.

The optimistic standout was Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Thomas Blakey, who estimated that Oracle stock can soar 127.04% to $284 in the next 12 months.
