After crossing 1 million agentic transactions through x402 Protocol earlier this month, XRP Ledger (XRPL), which uses XRP as its native token, has crossed the 1.4 million mark on July 22, 2026.
At press time, the XRP Ledger had recorded a total of 1,434,517 agentic transactions, up approximately 127% since launch, according to data from XRPL AI Hub.
The XRP Ledger has seen its agentic transactions grow, backed by 129 merchants, up 15% since the launch of this service. At the time of reporting, a total of 4,463.24 XRP has been used as settlement by the 129 AI Agents, up 289% since Ripple Labs unveiled the XRP Ledger AI Starter Kit, as Finbold reported.
Meanwhile, the number of agentic payments on the XRPL has also surged significantly due to the use of Ripple USD (RLUSD). At the time of publication, 1,895.14 RLUSD had been used to facilitate agentic transactions.
What’s next for agentic payments on XRP Ledger?
As the AI agents make API payments for trading data, info-based services, and social media APIs, Ayo Akinyele, head of engineering at RippleX, believes agentic payments could reach 10 million in the coming years.
“I was very pleased to see the 1 million milestone on XRP Ledger, but I think we’ll blast through 10 million and may even get to 100 million within the next couple of years given the pace of development with agents and how the infrastructure continues to get better,” he stated.
Furthermore, the XRPL transaction fees are low to cater to its high throughput for seamless agentic transactions.
XRPL accounts hit new ATH
Following the notable increase in agentic transactions on the XRPL, the total number of addresses has also grown in tandem. As of Wednesday, the total number of addresses on XRP Ledger was roughly 8,452,874, as per metrics from CryptoQuant.
Consequently, the number of XRPL accounts is well positioned to grow exponentially alongside agentic transactions.
