2 stocks to hit $2 trillion market cap by 2027

2 stocks to hit $2 trillion market cap by 2027

In 2026, two companies enter the $2 trillion market capitalization club and, judging by the estimates and forecasts of institutional experts, two more appear to have it within reach by 2027.

To begin with, Meta Platforms’ (NASDAQ: META) recent acceleration and crucial technological developments pushed the stock 36.66% higher to $742.96 since mid-August and the firm’s valuation from $1.38 trillion to $1.89 trillion within the same timeframe.

Thus, following the Monday, October 12, release of the company’s frontier artificial intelligence (AI) model, Muse Wonder, Wall Street analysts’ forecast revisions took the average 12-month price target to $816.48.

Should Mark Zuckerberg’s company sustain the momentum and meet the institutional expectations, it will have hit a $2.09 trillion market capitalization by mid-October 2027 – $187 billion higher than the $1.89 trillion logged at the latest close.

Still, given Meta’s proximity to $2 trillion and the recent momentum, it also appears well positioned to reach the milestone before the December 31, 2026, close.

The other firm with $2 trillion within reach in 2026 is, in fact, more likely to cross above a $2 trillion valuation only once 2027 starts.

Broadcom might hit $2 trillion by 2027 but it slated for the goal in next 12 months

Indeed, Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) will have to achieve a far larger rally than Meta Platforms to meet the goal.

At its latest close of $354.73, the semiconductor giant’s market capitalization stood at $1.69 trillion, meaning that it would have to soar at least $310 billion – a possible, if implausible feat given that the equity is up 2.05% year-to-date (YTD) despite managing a 64% rally between late March and early June.

Fortunately for it, however, Wall Street is even more optimistic about Broadcom stock’s future than Meta’s.

Thanks to the impressive revenue, operating profit, free cash flow, and overall results disclosed in the third quarter (Q3) report, institutional investors estimate, on average, that the firm’s shares will have soared 46.37% to $519.21 by mid-October 2027.

If these estimates prove accurate, Broadcom will rise by $765 billion in the next 12 months and, with a $2.48 trillion predicted market capitalization, will have also overtaken Meta on the list of the world’s largest companies.

This stock can hit $3 trillion market cap in 2027

Elsewhere, the 12-month price targets available at press time on October 13 indicate that neither of the two companies to have crossed above a $2 trillion valuation in 2026 will join in the $3 trillion club in 2027.

Specifically, SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX), a company which executed its initial public offering (IPO) in June at $1.77 trillion and was, at the Monday close, at $2.15 trillion, is expected to rally 32.17% by October 2027 – to a valuation of $2.8 trillion.

The Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (NYSE: TSM) – a firm which stood at $1.57 trillion on December 31, 2025 and at $2.03 trillion at the October 12 close – is forecasted to rally 24.45% to a market capitalization of $2.86 trillion.

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), however, a firm that crossed above $2 trillion already in 2024 and stood at $2.8 trillion on Monday, is expected to hit $3.57 trillion by early October 2027, as the average 12-month AMZN share price target stands at $331.34: 27.67% higher than the $259.53 logged at the latest close.
