Best and worst Robert Kiyosaki investments of 2026 revealed

Best and worst Robert Kiyosaki investments of 2026 revealed

For years, the popular author of the personal finance book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’, Robert Kiyosaki, remained bearish on the economy as a whole, and bullish about a handful of his favoured assets.

In 2026, he has been, at least at face value, proven wrong on both counts, though not all of his recommended investments proved equal losers, and a handful are promising strong returns later in the year or in 2027.

This is the worst-performing Robert Kiyosaki asset of 2026

To begin with, Silver ended up losing the most among Robert Kiyosaki’s four most-discussed assets, despite starting the year on a particularly strong uptrend.

Indeed, the precious metal entered 2026 changing hands at $72.82 per ounce, soared 60.46% to roughly $116.85 by late January, but then plunged to its Thursday, October 22 price of $55.88, for an overall year-to-date (YTD) loss of 23.26%.

A $1,000 investment in silver made at the start of 2026 would have, thus, dropped by $232.60 to $767.40, while traders unfortunate enough to buy close to the highs would have suffered a $521.78 drop to $478.22.

This is the best-performing Robert Kiyosaki asset of 2026

Elsewhere, Kiyosaki’s other favored commodity, Gold, has performed best among his most-mentioned assets. Specifically, the yellow metal started the year at $4,332 and, by press time, dropped a comparatively minor 5.94% to $4,070 in late October.

Similar to silver, gold was actually performing well early in 2026, soaring 25.07% to $5,418 by January 28. Thus, putting $1,000 into the commodity at the beginning of January would have led to $59.40 in losses, and buying close to the highs would have caused a $248.80 loss.

Why Robert Kiyosaki’s favorite cryptocurrencies could soar before the end of 2026

Meanwhile, ‘Rich Dad’ Robert Kiyosaki’s favorite cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) – likewise dropped, with the former losing 6.60% and the latter 19.04% between January 1 and October 22.

Unlike gold and silver, however, analysts and other trading experts generally believe that the digital assets market is on the cusp of a new bullish cycle, meaning that the situation for BTC and ETH could change dramatically by the end of 2026.

Still, despite the rising consensus, most recent cryptocurrency moves demonstrated that a rally is far from guaranteed. After soaring toward $85,000 earlier this week, Bitcoin plummeted 3% in less than 24 hours to its press time price of $81,706, largely thanks to President Donald Trump hinting at plans to resume the Iran War.

Given the global instability and the digital asset’s demonstrated sensitivity to geopolitics, it appears plausible that a ‘Robert Kiyosaki portfolio’ will remain entirely in the red all the way to the end of 2026.
