Elon Musk supports merger for SpaceX and Tesla on AI push

The unification of Tesla and SpaceX has gained traction among Wall Street analysts, including a upgrade at CLSA.

Furthermore, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, endorsed the move during SpaceX’s Q3 2026 investor call on October 20, asserting that combining the two entities holds substantial merit as they navigate the superintelligence singularity.

“I don’t think we necessarily should assume that this merger is a certainty. I think it would be overstating it. Do I think it would be a good idea? Yes,” Musk said.
