Finding a reliable crypto exchange service is harder than it looks. With hundreds of services operating across different currencies, payment methods, and jurisdictions, comparing rates and assessing trustworthiness manually takes time most users don’t have.
Exchange aggregators exist to solve that problem. This guide covers how one of them, BestChange, works in practice, what it shows you, how to read its data, and how to use its tools to find a safe, hassle-free exchange option among vetted services.
What is a crypto exchange aggregator?
A crypto exchange aggregator is a platform that pulls together rate data from multiple third-party exchange services and displays it in one place, so users can compare offers without visiting each service individually. The aggregator does not hold funds, process transactions, or act as a party in transactions. It creates an information layer sitting between the user and the exchange services themselves.
The practical value is in transparency. Exchange rates for the same currency pair can vary significantly across services, and an aggregator surfaces those differences instantly alongside reserve levels, user reviews, and exchange conditions. Aggregators that vet services before listing them add another layer of value: they address the trust problem by filtering out unreliable operators before users ever encounter them.
What is BestChange?

BestChange is a free online aggregator of cryptocurrency and e-currency exchange services, launched on June 19, 2007. Rather than conducting exchanges itself, the platform monitors rates and conditions across vetted third-party exchange services and presents them in a single structured table, updated every 15 seconds or at custom intervals (set by the user).
The platform currently monitors over 650 active exchange services, tracks more than 1,300,000 exchange rates across 54,000+ currency pairs spanning crypto, fiat, digital payment systems, bank transfers, and cash, and has accumulated over 2,800,000 customer reviews. Over 760,000 users visit BestChange each month to find and compare exchange options.
BestChange does not hold user funds, process transactions, act as a guarantor of exchanges, or have any legal affiliation with the exchange services it lists. As an independent information platform, it provides users with market data, comparison tools, and details about exchange services, while the actual exchange is conducted directly through the selected service. The decision to proceed with any exchange rests entirely with the user.
How to use BestChange
Using BestChange involves a straightforward five-step process:
1. Select your currencies
Use the left sidebar to select the currency you want to give and the currency you want to receive. The table on the right will update automatically to show all exchange services that support that currency pair, sorted by rate by default. The sort order can be changed by clicking any column header. If no direct exchange is available between two currencies, the Multi-Step Exchange tool can find options using an intermediate currency, showing the potential profitability of each route compared to a direct exchange.
2. Calculate the amount and check statistics
The Calculator tab lets you enter either the amount you want to give or the amount you want to receive, and shows how much each exchange service would give or require in return. Exchange services that cannot process the specified amount due to insufficient reserves or limit restrictions are greyed out. Historical rate statistics are also available for periods ranging from one hour to one year, which can help users decide whether to exchange now or wait.
3. Select an exchange service
Each listed exchange service has a profile page showing the number of rates it provides, available reserves, age, reviews and complaints from BestChange users, and reputation indicators for payment systems, including WebMoney Business Level and Volet Transaction Score. BestChange recommends checking user feedback carefully before proceeding, as reviews are the quickest signal of current service quality.
4. Go to the exchange service’s website
Clicking an exchange service’s name opens its website in a new tab. The exchange itself is completed there, not on BestChange. Users should follow the exchange service’s own instructions and contact its support directly if any issues arise.
5. Leave a review
After completing an exchange, users can return to the exchange service’s profile on BestChange and leave feedback.
Each review includes a star rating along with a text comment, and can be filed as a positive, neutral, or negative rating. You can file a complaint only if the exchange order wasn’t completed according to the listed exchange service’s terms, and no order numbers are visible publicly. Both reviews and complaints require email confirmation before appearing on the site.
How BestChange vets exchange services
Not every exchange service that applies to BestChange gets listed. Before any service appears on the platform, it goes through a due diligence check carried out by the BestChange administration.
The baseline requirements include, among other things, a minimum of six months of active operation, a minimum available reserve of $10,000, a fully functional website with a unique design, documented AML/KYC/KYT procedures, an embedded online chat, and a support team that responds to customer inquiries within one hour during working hours. Exchange services with a generic, stencil-like website design, a poor reputation among customers, or those that are effectively non-independent satellites of an already-listed partner service are not accepted.
Exceptions to the six-month rule exist but are limited. A newer exchange service may be added on recommendation from a large established platform, such as a major crypto exchange or mining company, or under the guarantee of an existing BestChange exchange service that has been listed for over a year with a clean record.
Once listed, exchange services remain under ongoing monitoring. If a service stops fulfilling its obligations, BestChange can temporarily remove it from the listing until the issue is resolved. Several unresolved complaints can trigger this. If an exchange service is permanently delisted, it disappears from the platform, with its status marked as disabled in BestChange’s records.

Users also contribute to the vetting process through the review system. Positive reviews, neutral comments, and formal complaints are all visible on each exchange service’s profile. Reviews and complaints require email confirmation to appear and are moderated, BestChange removes duplicates, false information, and reviews written to manipulate ratings.
AML tools and address checking
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures have applied to crypto services since around 2013-2014, with the most significant regulatory changes coming in mid-2019 following the introduction of sanctions lists from international regulators. All exchange services listed on BestChange are required to comply with AML and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements and may request documents from users if a transaction is flagged as suspicious.
To help users assess risk before sending funds, BestChange provides a free AML address checker that analyses crypto wallet addresses for Risk Score marks, drawing on data from fivepartner services. The tool supports native cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and TRON (TRX), as well as tokens on ERC20, TRC20, and BEP20 networks.

The Risk Score assigned to an address is based on its direct and indirect connections with various blockchain sources. High-risk marks are assigned when an address has interacted with sources associated with money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, or illicit platforms. Risk Scores are dynamic and can change over time even without new activity from the wallet owner, since marks can be affected by transactions made by other wallets that previously interacted with the address.
A clean Risk Score lowers the chances of funds being blocked, though it isn’t a guarantee. Exchanges may apply their own internal fraud detection systems, KYC requirements, and blacklists in addition to AML checks. BestChange recommends checking addresses before every planned transaction and consulting the terms of the specific exchange service before proceeding.
If a transaction is frozen despite a clean Risk Score, users should contact the exchange service’s support directly, provide any requested documentation, and, if needed, contact BestChange through its support page.

Who is BestChange for?
BestChange serves a broad range of users. Crypto newcomers can use the platform to find vetted exchange services without prior market knowledge, relying on the review system and BestChange’s due diligence process to reduce risk.
Experienced users and traders can take advantage of the rate statistics, Calculator, and notification tools to act on specific rate targets. Users in countries with limited banking infrastructure benefit from coverage of regional payment systems, mobile wallets, and cash exchange directions.
Freelancers and digital professionals receiving payments in crypto can find fast, cost-effective routes to fiat across directions including PayPal, Payoneer, Wise, and local bank transfers. Digital nomads and arbitrage traders who exchange frequently can use the Multi-Step Exchange feature to identify indirect routes that may offer better overall rates.
