President Trump just disclosed dumping $50 million of these big tech stocks

The September 22 disclosure revealed that President Donald Trump, yet again, executed more than 1,000 trades in a single month. Among these stock market maneuvers made in July, two equity sales stand out for their sheer scale.

To begin with, the U.S. commander-in-chief dumped up to $25.5 million worth of Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) shares across three trades. First, he sold up to $15,000 on July 8 and then conducted a far larger sale on July 17: up to $500,000 worth.

Finally, the September 22 filing reveals that, on July 20, President Trump offloaded up to $25 million worth of AMZN stock. Notably, the billionaire republican also executed two purchases of the e-commerce and cloud giant, buying a total of up to $30,000 worth of equity.

Meanwhile, the Amazon stock sale, at least by press time on September 24, appears to have been relatively well-timed, as AMZN’s most recent closing price stood at $249.27 – 0.29% below the $249.99 recorded on July 20.

Looking at the other major big tech stock traded by the commander-in-chief reveals the maneuvers regarding Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) were even more numerous.

Across two days in July – one toward the beginning and the other toward the end – President Donald Trump bought up to $400,000 worth of MSFT shares. However, his selling was even more extensive.

Across four market moves, the billionaire Republican offloaded up to $31 million worth of Microsoft stock. His biggest equity sales took place on July 7 and 17 – up to $500,000 each – on July 8 – up to $5 million – and, much like with Amazon, on July 20 – up to $25 million.

MSFT equity’s performance since the biggest trade is far more notable than with AMZN – the blue-chip technology giant was changing hands at $402.29 at the time and rallied 24.44% to $500.59 by the evening of September 23.

Lastly, while there is no clear evidence the President has been trading based on non-public information, the changes in his net worth, as tracked by Forbes, indicate his largest trades merit monitoring.

Specifically, the commander-in-chief’s wealth was estimated at $2.3 billion in 2024 – the second-lowest in the last decade – while the number stands at $7 billion at press time on September 24, 2026.

Similarly, President Donald Trump executed multiple exceptional high-profile trades in the last 12 months. He bought up to $5 million worth of Dell (NYSE: DELL) stock on February 10 when it was changing hands at $126.01, and the equity closed at $549.83 on Wednesday: 336.34% higher.

Additionally, as Finbold reported on September 23, the commander-in-chief made a series of investments in Michael Saylor’s Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) about one month before the cryptocurrency market started surging, and is already up roughly 80% on the bet.
