Qualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM) is set to continue its history of rewarding investors with an upcoming dividend payment in December.
The semiconductor company will distribute $0.92 per share on December 17, 2026, meaning investors holding 100 QCOM shares will receive $92 before taxes.
The payment maintains Qualcomm’s previous quarterly dividend, with the ex-dividend date set for December 3.

With QCOM stock at $167.60, purchasing 100 shares would cost approximately $16,760, excluding transaction fees. Qualcomm’s annualized dividend currently stands at $3.68 per share, translating to a forward yield of 2.24%.
Qualcomm has increased its dividend for 24 consecutive years, reflecting its long-standing commitment to returning capital to shareholders. Its forward payout ratio stands at 36.76%, suggesting that the company distributes a relatively modest proportion of its expected earnings through dividends.
The quarterly payment also offers investors a yield above the technology sector average of 1.37%. If the current distribution remains unchanged, shareholders holding 100 shares would collect $368 annually.
Qualcomm stock fundamentals
Meanwhile, Qualcomm faces pressure from weaker smartphone demand, rising memory costs, and supply constraints affecting handset manufacturers.
These challenges have raised concerns about the company’s near-term revenue growth, particularly given its reliance on smartphone-related chip sales.
Investors are also assessing Qualcomm’s fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 results, scheduled for November 4. Analysts expect revenue of approximately $10.15 billion and earnings of $2.16 per share, with particular attention on management’s guidance for the December quarter.

However, Qualcomm is expanding into automotive technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence to diversify its revenue. Its data center ambitions are particularly notable, with the company targeting $5 billion in revenue from the business in fiscal 2027 and more than $15 billion by fiscal 2029.
These developments leave the upcoming earnings outlook as an important catalyst for QCOM shares.
