Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) faces a major test this week as investors await its fiscal second-quarter 2027 earnings results, with Rosenblatt Securities remaining optimistic about the company.

Ahead of the August 26 release, Rosenblatt reiterated its ‘Buy’ rating and maintained a $325 price target, implying upside of more than 51% from the current share price of $214.

Analyst Kevin Cassidy expects the technology giant to deliver revenue and earnings above consensus estimates, supported by continued strength in artificial intelligence infrastructure spending and demand for next-generation computing platforms.

Nvidia previously guided for approximately $91 billion in second-quarter revenue, plus or minus 2%, while Wall Street expects revenue of about $92 billion and adjusted earnings per share of roughly $2.09, nearly double the level reported a year earlier.

Investors are also focused on management’s outlook for the remainder of the year and updates on upcoming product launches.

Rosenblatt believes the company’s third-quarter guidance could exceed current market expectations as AI computing demand remains strong.

Main Nvidia earnings theme

A key theme heading into earnings is the rollout of Nvidia’s Vera Rubin architecture, which is expected to begin ramping during the third quarter of fiscal 2027.

The platform is designed to succeed Blackwell and support increasingly complex AI workloads. Analysts view the launch as a key driver of Nvidia’s next growth phase.

Notably, Rosenblatt has projected more than $1 trillion in combined Blackwell and Rubin revenue between 2025 and 2027, pointing to the scale of the opportunity.

Meanwhile, data from 27 Wall Street analysts tracked by TipRanks shows Nvidia holds a consensus ‘Strong Buy’ rating, with an average 12-month price target of $305.65 and a high target of $425.

On the other hand, demand signals remain strong across the industry as major cloud providers continue increasing AI infrastructure spending.

Reports also indicate that AI servers powered by Vera Rubin and Grace Blackwell chips are seeing price increases amid sustained customer demand.

While another earnings beat is widely expected, analysts caution that guidance may have a greater impact on the stock than the quarterly results themselves.

Investors will be watching for updates on Vera Rubin production, AI spending trends among hyperscalers, and Nvidia’s outlook for China-related revenue.
