While the trades, investments, and other money-making strategies of well-known investors like Michael Burry and Warren Buffett are often topics of discussion in many households, the stock market activities of other celebrities who have also proven to be successful investors are not as well known.
Perhaps surprisingly, YouTubers have proven to be the most successful investors in terms of return rates, while comedians’ trades are the least lucrative, according to a Forex.com study shared with Finbold that analyzed 233 top celebrities.
In terms of net worth, athletes take the top spot, averaging $905 million while having a 9.84% return rate. Across the board, the most successful of the analyzed celebrities, luxury vehicles and real estate represent their most common investments though many also trade stocks, luxury yachts, and even cryptocurrencies.

The study found that an average celebrity investment sees them venture approximately $38 million. Additionally, approximately one-third of the examined celebrities have been known to invest more than $100 million into a single venture.
Forex.com states that all figures were cross-validated to ensure accuracy and that a large language model called Falcom 40B was used to crunch the numbers.
Who is the most successful celebrity in terms of their investments
Looking at individual celebrities, Kenneth Brian Edmonds, a 90s superstar better known under his stage name – Babyface – could easily go down in history as one of the greats as his overall return on investments came up to 134% of his net worth. Per the data compiled by the study, Babyface’s primary investments are real estate and luxury vehicles – including a $7 million New York property and a $3 million Bugatti Chiron.
Chase Hudson, a TikTok star, is also a highly successful investor and has managed a return rate of 68.70% on his relatively modest net worth of $11 million despite being rather young at only 21. Similar to Babyface, Hudson also mostly invests in luxury vehicles and real estate.
Billy Joel, worth $230 million, comes in third with a return rate of 52.20%, proving once and for all that Huey Campbell has a point in more than one way.
Out of the top 10 celebrities based on their return rates, the only one to have been making notable investments in the crypto market is Logan Paul, an American social media influencer, professional wrestler, YouTuber, and actor. Together with cryptocurrencies, his investments – which netted him an average return rate of 49% – include real estate, luxury vehicles, and luxury yachts.
Spots 6 through 10 are occupied by Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Drake, and Gordon Ramsay – all primarily investing in real estate, luxury vehicles, luxury yachts, and stocks – with Nicki Minaj being the most successful with a return rate of 36.90% and Gordon Ramsay the least with 17.60%
